Graphic Design And Interface Design - 949 Words

As we all know, the roles of design are satisfying daily needs of people as well as improving the quality of their lives. Not only that, design, as a part of the arts industries, also need aesthetic judgment. That is why visual designer came up. In this essay, I will contrast graphic design with interface design , compare them in three different ways including historical technological and conceptual development and discuss the connection as well as development potential of them. In any case, the development trend of two kinds of design industries is inseparable. And throughout all of the contemporary design styles, I prefer flat design. If we contrast graphic design and interface differently, we can consider the biggest difference is that graphic design can allow convey a little abstract , which is brand oriented, while interface design is totally customer oriented. Although the function of both of them is communicate information. For instance, here is a picture of Soviet poster called Beat the whites with Red wedge (El Lissitzky, 1920). It simplify the composition and structure to become geometric-abstractive-colorful formal elements, which is make sure that the poster will have intensive aesthetic feeling and visual impact.
